Liza Soberano Gives Up Darna's Stone

After so many years in pre-production, it was announced that Liza Soberano will no longer take on the role of the iconic super hero Darna. The announcement was made recently with an exclusive interview with Liza opening up about the reason why she is dropping the role.

According to her statement, she suffered finger bone fracture while shooting for "Bagani" last year which she is still recovering from it. However though a minor injury, this still hampers her from effectively doing the action scenes needed for the film. 


She was also emotional on her interview when asked what is her message to fans and those who have been expecting the Darna movie for quite some time. Liza's announcement also triggers the question who will be replacing her for the role.

Though in the press statement they have started looking again for the star who could fit perfectly for the role. Names like Nadine Lustre, Maja Salvador, Jessy Medioa and many others.

The Darna movie project has been very grueling with the time it took to start production. Erik Matti has already left as the director and passed it to Jerrold Tarog which is also working on another komiks movie "The Mythology Class." The production is again postponed with the announcement and fans might have to wait again for the new Darna.
