Ben&Ben’s “Leaves (Reimagined)” finds new meaning in second chances and forgiveness

The award-winning band revisits its enduring classic with a grander sound and a deeper reflection on healing, forgiveness, and human vulnerability

Nearly a decade after “Leaves” made a dent in pop culture consciousness with its unassuming tenderness, Ben&Ben reinterprets the heartwarming ballad with “Leaves (Reimagined),” a new rendition that transforms the original into a more mature reflection on forgiveness, second chances, and the complexities of growing together.

Instead of recreating the original, “Leaves (Reimagined)” approaches the track from a different emotional vantage point, mirroring the profound depths and tensions of life in sonic form. The orchestral elements do not make the track bigger or more ambitious; instead, they give the emotional peaks and quiet moments greater dimension and more room to sink in.

M1ss Jade So releases “BAPHOMETA”, MV watchparty on September 5

Shortly after her RUBADGE win and its official release on the 4th episode of Drag Race Down Under vs. The World Season 1, M1ss Jade So unveils a devilish drag look accompanied by a new song of the same name, “BAPHOMETA”, produced by collaborator Naive Supreme—out now, under Offshore Music.

Coming down from the clouds of nebula, the esoteric Drag Queen superstar and current Filipino pride, M1ss Jade So, morphs into the occult figure “Baphomet” for the category “Wildlife Couture” in the latest episode of the Drag Race competition. The transformation draws inspiration from her initial idea of dressing up as a goat. Still, in true M1ss Jade So fashion, she pushed the envelope further and adapted the character “BAPHOMETA”—a mix of the polarizing being and her own obscure, twisted yet personal vision.

Iman Fandi Turns Confidence Into a Statement With “IT IS”

Mixing modern pop and R&B with a mischievous edge, her latest release is a fearless declaration of self-worth

Singaporean singer Iman Fandi steps forward with a renewed vision on “IT IS,” out today on all digital music platforms worldwide.

Bold, playful, and self-assured, "IT IS" distills a clear, unapologetic message of feminine confidence and self-worth. The song rests on the belief that real value is demonstrated rather than promised and on the certainty that comes with knowing your worth, refusing to justify it, and insisting on action instead of words. It embodies a woman fully grounded in her own strength, who will not make herself smaller, explain away her value, or wait quietly to be picked.

"This is something I have personally learned throughout my life," Iman shares. "While the song's message is rooted in confidence and self-possession, it also carries a playful nod to the people who always ask, 'Is this song about me?' The answer is part mystery, part mischief: if you think it is about you, maybe it is."

Released under Sony Music Entertainment, the track mines crossover potential with a distinctly nocturnal sound, weaving punchy rhythms, city pop influences, glimmering synths, and modern pop-rock textures into a melodic, fist-pumping jam.

The song’s concept began with the word itself. From there, the band developed a narrative centered on someone who, despite believing they did nothing wrong in a relationship, comes to terms with self-doubt in the wake of an unexpected romantic fallout.

FUSR Channels Bay Area Influence and Filipino Confidence on "Ganito Ako Mag Step"

FUSR's latest single, "Ganito Ako Mag Step," is a reflection of cultural crossover, blending the influence of Bay Area rap with the perspective of a Filipino artist from Davao City now living in California.

Having spent time around friends from Northern California, particularly Sacramento, FUSR was introduced to the music and artists that shaped the Bay Area sound. That influence can be felt throughout the track's laid-back confidence, independent spirit, and unapologetic self-assurance.

JENNIE captivates with ethereal new single “Less than a Lover”

Global superstar JENNIE releases her ethereal new single and music video “Less than a Lover,” available now via ODDATELIER/Columbia Records.

The single is JENNIE’s ode to summer, capturing the excitement and lingering emotions of a relationship that exists somewhere between friendship and romance. Written by JENNIE, the song explores the space with someone who is more than a friend but “Less than a Lover,” JENNIE embraces the confusion and exhilaration of an undefined connection. Expanding her sonic palette with a softer alternative-pop sound, the track pairs lo-fi guitar textures and vintage electric keyboards, JENNIE's vocals and lyricism, naturally expressing the subtle feelings that arise in a relationship that is neither friendship nor love. The accompanying music video, based on a story by JENNIE, sees her slip into another world, another character, another version of herself while shooting a short film with friends, where a faux love story shapes a new dynamic between them that was absent before.

Steve Lacy releases new album Oh yeah?

“The subtleties and texture in the vocals, the tactile rumble of drums, and the almost effervescent guitar melodies. The tracks…strike a personal, introspective tone, as if Lacy’s taken the perceptive and cunning lens he’s used to observe life and love from 10,000 feet, and turned it inward”

– Rolling Stone on Oh yeah?, August 2025

Steve Lacy releases his highly anticipated third album, Oh yeah? via RCA Records. The album features the long-awaited collaboration “is it cool? (feat. SZA),” as well as the acclaimed lead single “the feeling,” which served as a brilliant reintroduction to Lacy’s ability to manifest modern Pop, Alt, and R&B in a sound that is less genre-defying and more genre-defining. The result is an album that is undoubtedly Steve’s most ambitious and personal art to date.

LISTEN TO Oh yeah? HERE

Oh yeah? is a record for guitar kids who love synths and synth kids who love guitars. It’s an album splashed with raw openness, energetic connection, sonic beauty, and some of Lacy’s most personal, transparent lyrics. With guest appearances from the likes of Erykah Badu and Cecile Believe, and SZA, Oh yeah? is intersectional, cutting, a comedy, a tragedy, and has allowed Steve to further design an aural world that is singularly him. That “him” has taken Lacy, who released his first EP almost ten years ago, to the highest of highs: at only 28, he has two songs in the Spotify Billions Club, as well as two Grammy Awards.  He has stood alongside his musical peers like Kendrick Lamar and Solange, sells out shows across the globe, and is universally known as a style maverick whose eye for design grows bolder every day.

In a recent cover story, The Cut described Lacy as “potentially being Gen Z’s first rock star,” a big claim in an era of pop girlies, K-Pop kids hunting demons, and country balladeers. On first listen, Oh yeah? undoubtedly – and instantly –  takes that potential and turns it into reality, a defining musical moment for an artist with many, many more to come.
