Charity Concert Musical Soiree V Stages This April

A wonderful night is set to unfold as Roma Pradhan, the Indian singer, takes the stage once again for Musical Soiree V. This annual event is sure to be filled with great music, all while benefiting the charitable foundation Tahanan ng Pagmamahal. The event will take place from 6-8pm on April 27 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati City.

The fifth installment of her annual fundraising show promises to be even better than previous years as Roma will be performing a variety of Hindi music genres, ranging from Bollywood classics to more the modern hits of today! As per previous years, she is also known for performing a Tagalog song at each show; this year she will be singing "Tagumpay Nating Lahat," a song originally sung by award-winning international Broadway star Lea Salonga.

Proceeds of Musical Soiree V will go towards financing the education of 33 elementary school students from Tahanan ng Pagmamahal. This is the second year that Roma's concert will be benefiting this Taguig-based non-profit organization. In its first year, the profits of this charity event helped the organization Ang Misyon. The Musical Soiree events have also supported the orphanage "Shepherd of the Hills" for the past two years. In addition, the show exposes these organizations to potential donors, further supporting these charitable causes.

Roma, who hails from Calcutta, India, is a successful artist who uses her God-given talent for the good of others. Growing up in a traditional household, singing has been her and her brother's passion since childhood. She started learning Indian Classical vocal music from the age of 7 and since then there was no looking back. She is a Sangeet Prabhakar in Hindustani classical music and has won numerous singing competitions and awards, achieving highly impressive feats. This led to her becoming a sought after singer who has performed at both intimate venues and bigger stages and performed professionally up until 20 years ago. 

Following her career in music, Roma chose to, and enjoyed, being a homemaker. Finding a new home away from home in Manila, Roma has managed her family and a career in recruitment. She is also a passionate Buddhism practitioner. It was this practice that led her to use her musical talent for the betterment of a country that gave her so much. Musical Soiree came into fruition in 2014 due to this idea of giving back to the community. Roma feels fulfilled by this event, which gives her an opportunity to sing, thus bringing her joy while creating value in our society.
