Fiji Blue Coming To Manila on November 17 at the Samsung Hall

Announcement – Fiji Blue will be bringing their Asia Tour ‘22 to Manila on November 17, 2022 at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura Premier. The self-described “sad boy chill house” duo are behind the well-loved hits ‘It Takes Two’, ‘Butterflies’, ‘Waves’, ‘Affection’, ‘Outside’ and more.

Through the combination of sad yet hopeful lyrics, Fiji Blue strives to guide the listener through their most vulnerable moments. Singer/songwriter Trevor Dering carries a unique writing style that touches on the inner conflicts between waves of sadness and ecstasy. The sound originated when Dering met producer Valentin Fritz at Berklee College of Music in 2017 where they developed the sonics that eventually blossomed into Fiji Blue’s first release in 2019.

“High School in Jakarta” takes listeners back to the very start of NIKI’s first romance, capturing the intense whirlwind of emotions that come with the beginning of falling in love. The track continues to see NIKI shine revisiting her singer/songwriter roots, featuring a light and playful melody that accentuates NIKI’s vivid and eloquent storytelling ability.  The accompanying video sees NIKI transported back to the trials and tribulations of high school, all while experiencing the euphoria of her teenage first love.

“High School in Jakarta” follows previous single “Oceans & Engines,” a heart-wrenching ballad on surrendering to a broken relationship that serves as an impassioned moment of clarity and demonstrates NIKI's songwriting ability. In the short time since its release, the track has amassed over 7 million streams and 2 million views on the music video. NIKI first announced Nicole with the release of lead single “Before,” a reflective nostalgia-tinged record that upon release, received acclaim from NME, UPROXX, and Teen Vogue who praised that the record “perfectly highlights NIKI’s songwriting prowess.” Both tracks will appear on Nicole.

ABOUT NIKI

Since breaking through with her 2018 EP Zephyr, NIKI has made a powerful imprint on the pop scene, amassing a devoted global fanbase with over 1.8 billion streams to date and making history as the first Indonesian artist ever to perform at Coachella. But after delivering her critically acclaimed debut album MOONCHILD, the Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter felt compelled to completely reexamine her artistic process—a move that found her revisiting the vast catalog of unfiltered and indie-folk-leaning songs she’d created in high school. As she returned to the stream-of-consciousness approach to songwriting that defined her earliest material, the 23-year-old musician soon arrived at her sophomore album Nicole: a boldly self-possessed body of work written entirely by NIKI, spotlighting her finespun storytelling and warmly expressive vocals more fully than ever before. With the album’s first half comprised of new or never-before-heard songs and its latter half featuring her favorite tracks from her widely beloved YouTube channel, NIKI imbues her songs with the kind of lived-in specificity that immediately reconnects the listener with the rush and devastation of their own first love. Nicole is due out August 12th via 88rising.

Stela Cole Releases Anthemic "Rhapsody In Pink" Via Ultra Records

image.png

"sultry, feisty, impish, and bold as brass…She has a voice that delivers the goods… but emanates an edge, a femme fatale purr that's chillingly charming" — HuffPost

“[Stela Cole’s] songs have an almost addictive quality” — Refinery29

“Stela Cole is definitely one to watch” — JustJared

"She's equal parts sunshine and gum-drops but isn't afraid to take a few hostages if need be....Cole is going to completely [upend] the music scene" — PopDust

“Unapologetically punchy pop, with hints of flair and fun.” — Alfitude

Emerging pop singer/songwriter Stela Cole has released her anthemic new single “Rhapsody In Pink” via Ultra Records, a glammed-up and gritty track about knowing your self-worth. An audacious pop-come-hiphop interpolation of George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody In Blue,” the track  spotlights Stela’s creativity and versatility, using stunning and confident vocals over glorious bursts of horns, steady claps, and bass-heavy beats.

WATCH THE VISUALIZER FOR “RHAPSODY IN PINK” HERE

“‘Rhapsody In Pink’ is so much more than a song to me. It’s a work of art. It has completely transformed my vision as an artist, and I feel more authentic than ever,” shares Stela“I wrote the song about knowing your worth, especially as a woman, and I love how it’s fun and playful but also sends the message that I won’t be fucked around with.”

On how the song came to be, she continues, “I have been scheming the song for over five years now. I grew up loving George Gershwin, and his piece ‘Rhapsody in Blue’ is one of my favorite compositions of all time. One night back in 2016, I was watching Baz Luhrmann’s The Great Gatsby and it was playing at the party scene where they first introduced Jay Gatsby. I had just gotten into writing music, and it sparked this insane epiphany. I thought to myself, ‘how has nobody flipped ‘Rhapsody in Blue?!’’ I stored the idea and kept it in my notes for years until 2020 when it went into public domain, but I still wanted to wait for the right energy, and I needed to be the most confident version of myself to pull off the lyrical concept I was envisioning. Flash forward to November 2021, I met producer Alex Veronneau and knew he was my guy. I had gone through a breakup and was feeling like the most empowered, independent version of myself. It was the perfect combination. Alex and I stayed up till 4AM one night writing ‘Rhapsody In Pink’ and it came together effortlessly. I left the studio feeling so complete. I’d finally written my dream song.”

Explosive, elegant, and irresistibly larger-than-life, Stela Cole’s music radiates the kind of unbridled confidence that leaves a long-lasting impact. But for the Georgia-bred singer/songwriter, the bold energy of her immaculately composed pop comes from years of fighting for her vision and refusing to compromise the elaborate depth of her artistry. Newly signed to Ultra Records, the Los Angeles-based artist is now set to deliver her most extravagantly realized music yet, showing the full force of her soulful voice and fearless authenticity for the very first time.

“Rhapsody In Pink” is a powerful introduction to the next era of Stela’s music and is her latest single since performing on NBC's American Song Contest earlier this year, representing the state of Georgia and breaking the show's season record for week 1 streaming with break-up single "DIY," co-written by Tele (Lizzo’s “Truth Hurts”). Throughout her career, Stela has released two EPs [Throwing Up Butterflies (2018), Woman Of The Hour (2020)] and a string of independent releases including hit single "I Shot Cupid," the raw and rapturous "You F O," and the sultry "Love Like Mine," racking up over 80 million global streams and support from the likes of Refinery29, HuffPost, PopDust, Just Jared, and Digital Journal among others.

Stay tuned for more to come from Stela Cole in 2022!

Jakarta native image.pngWarren Hue releases his debut album, BOY OF THE YEAR. BOY OF THE YEAR is a sonically complex body of work, dabbling in both hip hop and electronic music, with sprinkles of pop throughout.  The album sees the city of Los Angeles through Warren’s eyes, told through genre-blending sounds and lyrical complexities. It’s his personal account of moving away from Indonesia, pursuing his dreams in music, and the challenging obstacles and vibrant triumphs he experienced being in a new city.

The album release comes alongside a dynamic music video for "IN MY BAG" with Tobi Lou - WATCH HERE. "IN MY BAG" is bouncy and transcendent, assisted by a poetic verse from Tobi Lou. Jackson Wang Sophomore Album Magic Man Available September 9th

image.png

Singer and producer Jackson Wang announces the release date for his sophomore album MAGIC MAN, out September 9th via TEAM WANG Records/88rising Records/Warner Records/RYCE MUSIC GROUP. The album will feature 10 tracks including the previously released “Blow” and new single “Cruel, out now with the accompanying music video with creative & movement directed by Jackson Wang, choreography by Jackson Wang and Vinh Nguyen, and directed by Rich Lee (Billie Eilish, Eminem, Lana del Rey). Both tracks brim with the energy of “Magic Man,” the seductive message to let go and give in.

Cruel” is produced by Cambo (Doja Cat), Floyd Fuji (Kanye West, Anderson .Paak), Roland Gajate Garcia (Camila Cabello, Kanye West), and LOUALLDAY. Listen to “Cruel” here and watch the video here.

Jackson comments, "Cruel is a very special record for me. It really set the precedence for where the narrative of the album needed to go and sound.” He further states, “We were working on many records before this one, but we were struggling to find a clear direction. Cruel is like a manifestation of the environments and hurdles we had to overcome at the time. Every time we felt we were getting close, something slips past us and it all felt so far away. Once ‘Cruel’ came into our hands, it all made sense for us, it was like a beautiful mental breakdown.

Cruel’s grunge, and raw sound is exactly the perfect representation of the distorted and warped story that I am trying to unfold. It is the opus to a wild yet beautiful symphony."

MAGIC MAN follows Jackson’s journey as he finds himself in an alternate reality, operating under the laws of mystery, temptation, and confusion. “Magic Man” – the alter ego of Jackson – is transported to various realities, each bound by its own set of rules. This is Jackson at his most vulnerable - exploring what it means to be human and stripped away of any armor.

MAGIC MAN was produced by Jackson Wang, Daryl K and Henry Cheung. Preorder the album here.

Earlier this year, Jackson made an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, showcasing his undeniably charming personality and inspiration behind MAGIC MAN. He also opened up about his vulnerability in a digital exclusive here.

Jackson made history at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival as the first-ever Chinese solo artist who performed on the Coachella main stage as part of 88rising’s ‘Head In The Clouds Forever’ set. Watch his performance here. He is set to headline this year’s 88rising ‘Head In The Clouds’ Festival on August 20th and 21st at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. Purchase tickets here.

In addition to being a singer and producer, Jackson is also a fashion designer, creative director, founder of TEAM WANG designand member of the hugely successful K-Pop group, Got7. Universally admired by global press, Jackson has been featured extensively across Vogue, GQ, FLAUNT, ELLE, Forbes, Complex, New York Magazine, Billboard, The FADER, Buzzfeed, E!, and more.

As a globally acclaimed artist and a creative director, Jackson’s goal is to showcase a Chinese-influenced sound on the international music stage and highlight Chinese and Asian culture worldwide. In his ascent, Jackson has amassed over 55 million followers across socials.

ABOUT TOVE LO

Tove Lo embodies every side of her own femininity in her music. She can be powerful in one breath and lusty in the next. Her cleverness will turn into introspection just before she makes herself heard again. She fights hard and loves even harder. Tove has always spoken her mind, and it’s why she’s left an ever-expanding imprint on pop. The Sweden-born and Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, and artist made waves worldwide with her platinum-certified 2014 full-length debut, Queen of the Clouds, uplifted by the quintuple-platinum “Habits (Stay High)” and double-platinum “Talking Body.” Among numerous collaborations, she joined forces with Nick Jonas for the platinum “Close” and Flume on the gold-certified “Say It” in addition to anthems with Alesso, Coldplay, Martin Garrix, Charli XCX, Sean Paul, ALOK, and Major Lazer, to name a few. In the midst of sold out shows on multiple continents, she served up Lady Wood [2016] and Blue Lips (Lady Wood Phase II) [2017] before reaching another stratosphere on 2019’s Sunshine Kitty. It landed on year-end lists from the likes of Esquire and Idolator, while Pitchfork proclaimed, “Sunshine Kitty holds some of Tove Lo’s most vulnerable writing; it’s also her clubbiest record.” Meanwhile, she garnered her second GRAMMY® Award nomination with “Glad He’s Gone” in the category of “Best Music Video.” As a songwriter behind-the-scenes, she’s penned music for everyone from Lorde to Zara Larsson in addition to co-writing Ellie Goulding’s quintuple-platinum “Love Me Like You Do” for Fifty Shades of Grey, receiving nominations at the Golden Globe® Awards and the GRAMMY® Awards. Now, Tove realizes a new strength within femininity on a series of singles for her own Pretty Swede Records/mtheory and more to come.
