The Philippines’ Soul Diva Jaya and Unkabogabol Sidekick Negi spread good vibes at “Kapamilya Fun Day” in Australia

“Music is to the soul as food is to the body” and “laughter is the best medicine” are two of the most popular adages that agree on one thing --- that both music and laughter can be therapeutic.  Two of ABS-CBN’s most-loved artists showed that rhythm and comedy can truly both nourish and heal at the three-night, three-city musical experience “Kapamilya Day” early June which did not only bring back memories from home for the audience but also moved the performers themselves.

The “Kapamilya Fun Day”, an annual event which just started in Australia last year and has been giving an opportunity for global Filipinos in the cities of Australia to meet and interact personally with their favorite Kapamilya stars, first brought “Queen of RnB” Kyla, “World Champion” Jed Madela, and comedian Negi to the “Kapamilya Fun Day” in 2016.  This time TFC shared the music of “Soul Diva” Jaya with a second serving of “Unkabogabol Sidekick”, Negi.

Wattpad Season Ender - Just the Strings

After a brief hiatus, former PBB sweethearts Cora Waddell and Luis Hontiveros will team up, once again, for the season ender of WATTPAD PRESENTS entitled, Just The Strings.  Based on the Wattpad novel by Beeyoch, this is the second book of the author’s “Just” series that has captured millions of Wattpad readers and is, in fact, the most-awaited TV adaptation this year.

Just The Strings is the story of Imo (Cora Wadell), a quintessential “emo” girl whose life evolves around books and underground music.  Her so-called miniscule world becomes large in all proportions when she accidentally rode on the wrong car, thinking it was her UBER ride, which is being driven by the school heartthrob and basketball star, Saint (Luis Hontiveros).  This chance meet-up leads to a blossoming romance despite Imo’s eternal infatuation with her childhood best friend Parker, who is played by Starstruck finalist, James Teng.  Imo is also ruptured by the fact that both Saint and Parker are linked with other girls but in some such way, also baited by Imo’s kindness and whimsical character.

Boy Abunda Speech Wows World-Class Speakers

He is not called The King of Talk for nothing.

But with a foreign audience composed of the best and the brightest in public speaking in attendance, the applause - and the standing ovation - was a moment to remember even for talk show host par excellence Boy Abunda.

Simply put, Boy took the spotlight during his scheduled speech at the Asia Professional Speakers Convention held in Singapore last month. He owned the moment, seizing it like a hungry man at an all-you-can-eat convention.

The theme of his talk, Don’t Just Be A Speaker, Be A Star, provided him the perfect platform to share his thoughts on his decades of experience and wisdom as a talent agent, star maker, and television personality. It was a moment of perfect timing - the time, the place, the topic, and the speaker came together to create a fitting debut for Boy‘s public speaking career.
