ABS-CBN TFC dominates Comscore ratings in multicultural Asian households in the U.S., nabs all Top 20 spots in September

TFC, the global flagship channel of leading Filipino media and entertainment network ABS-CBN, wrapped up the summer season in the U.S. by showing fiery domination of Comscore ratings in multicultural Asian households for the period of August 30-September 26, 2021.

Proving it is still the number one Filipino channel in the U.S., TFC completely trounced competition in September, nabbing all Top 20 spots in Comscore's ratings.

Based on the TV viewing engagement of Comscore for said period:

A Filipino household watched TFC for an average of 60 hours a month

Filipinos spent more hours watching TFC over GMA by 38% in a month

TFC was 69% higher than GMA in terms of Ratings/Avg Aud/Hrs Viewed

TFC was 22% higher than GMA in terms of reach

TFC was 98% higher than Sony Entertainment in terms of Rating/Avg Aud/Hrs Viewed

TFC was 13% higher than Sony Entertainment in terms of Reach

TFC was 160% higher than AAPKA colors in terms of Rating/Avg Aud/Hrs Viewed

On weekends, TFC reached more households than GMA across key day parts.

GMA Network continues to lead rival networks across all day parts in Urban Luzon and Mega Manila


Broadcast giant GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) sustained its leadership in the viewer-rich areas of Urban Luzon and Mega Manila last April (April 21 to 30 based on overnight data), according to data from the industry’s more widely recognized ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

Urban Luzon and Mega Manila respectively account for 76 and 59 percent of the total urban television households in the entire country.

GMA Network seals strong Q3 financial performance


Reports P10.612 billion consolidated gross revenues for first 9 months

Broadcast giant GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) reported strong financial results for the third quarter owing to increased advertising sales across its major revenue platforms.

Consolidated gross revenues for the third quarter of 2012 reached P3.822 billion reflecting a double-digit growth of 13 percent from the P3.384 billion recorded in 2011, while net income rose 9 percent to P573 million from P525 million in the previous year.

GMA Network maintains nationwide ratings advantage in August, improves ratings in all areas, including Visayas and Mindanao


Leading broadcast company GMA Network, Inc. (GMA) ended the month of August on a positive note as it led rival stations in nationwide TV ratings according to data from the industry’s more trusted ratings source Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.

Based on full August data (August 1 to 25 official data; August 26 to 31 overnight data), GMA registered an average of 34 percent in total day (6 AM to 12 MN) household audience shares in National Urban Philippines, 1.3 percentage points ahead of ABS-CBN’s 32.7, and 19.2 percentage points ahead of TV5’s 14.8.

Traditional Drama balwarte na ng GMA Afternoon Prime

Afternoon soaps ng Kapuso, tinatangkilik sa buong bansa 



Kung noon ay telefantasya ang entertainment genre na maituturing na balwarte ng GMA-7, ngayon pati traditional drama genre binakuran na rin ng Kapuso Network sa Afternoon Prime block nito.
Patunay dito ang malaking panalo sa ratings ng mga programang panghapon ng GMA-7 hindi lamang sa Mega Manila at Urban Luzon, maging sa National Urban Philippines din.
Ayon sa January 1 – March 16, 2012 data ng mas pinagkakatiwalaang ratings data provider na Nielsen TV Audience Measurement, wagi ang buong Afternoon Prime programming block (Weekdays, 2:30pm – 6:30pm) ng GMA-7 sa National Urban Philippines.  Nakakuha ang GMA ng household rating na 14.6 pts., samantalang ang ABS-CBN ay nakakuha lamang ng 10.9 pts. at ang TV-5 ay 6.6 pts.  Ang GMA-7 ay nagkamit ng audience share na 36.9% samantalang ang ABS-CBN ay nakakuha lamang ng 27.5% at ang TV5 ay 16.8%.
