Clara Benin, GABBA, and Kakoy Legaspi to join Johnoy Danao’s first solo concert, Liwayway at Dapithapon

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Clara Benin, prolific post-rock artist GABBA, and seasoned musician Kakoy Legaspi will be joining Johnoy Danao’s highly anticipated first solo concert Liwayway at Dapithapon, happening on March 14 to 15, 2025, at the Metropolitan Theater (MET) in Manila. 

Both Benin and GABBA are announced to perform on the first day of the concert, while Kakoy Legaspi will reunite with Danao on day 2. 

“All guests are handpicked by Johnoy Danao,” minsan studio head Jason Conanan reveals. “Each of them has played a crucial part in his music journey, both as collaborators and real-life friends.”

Johnoy Danao headlines first solo concert, Liwayway at Dapithapon

The upcoming major show marks his 25th anniversary in the local music scene

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Johnoy Danao is set to captivate the Filipino audience with his much-anticipated first solo concert, Liwayway at Dapithapon, happening on March 14 to 15, 2025, at the prestigious Metropolitan Theater (MET) in Manila. 

The two-day musical celebration marks a milestone in Danao’s illustrious 25-year journey as an artist, serenading music fans with heartfelt tunes that cut across generations. The concert also follows Danao’s series of sold-out cafe shows, which took place in several intimate venues across the Philippines.

Pinoy rock queens reunite for “TANAW: The Repeat” concert at Newport World Resorts

Due to insistent public demand, Pinoy rock queens Acel Bisa, Aia de Leon, Barbie Almalbis, Hannah Romawac, Kitchie Nadal, and Lougee Basabas are staging another run of their sold-out concert, TANAW. The highly anticipated show will take place at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City on February 9, 2025 (Sunday) at 8:00 PM.

FEU CHORALE'S Dalawang Dekada Concert set on Nov. 16

The Far Eastern University (FEU) Chorale, celebrates the 20th Anniversary of its revival with a concert series entitled “Dalawang Dekada: 20 Years in Harmony,” which will also introduce its new Artistic Director, Mr. Roijin G. Suarez.

The series opened on November 9 as part of 

the 75th anniversary celebrations of the FEU Auditorium. The concert showcased the beauty of choral music from its origins in the Renaissance period up to the present.

The FEU Chorale will also perform in a mini-concert on Saturday, November 16 from 6 to 8 PM in the FEU Chapel.

Then FEU Chair Dr. Lourdes R. Montinola revived the Far Eastern University Chorale in 2004 as a cultural group under the FEU Center for the Arts. Since then, it has become one of the leading choirs in the Philippines winning different national competitions under the guidance of their then Artistic Director, Emerson Hernandez (2004 - 2016), they have performed in various television programs and have collaborated a concert with the Philippine Madrigal Singers at the FEU Auditorium in 2009.

Iconic dream pop band Sugar Hiccup to headline 4-city tour in the Philippines and Singapore next month

The award-winning quartet will be reuniting in time for their post-30th anniversary 

Pioneering Filipino dream-pop outfit Sugar Hiccup will embark on a Philippine tour next month to commemorate more than 30 years as a band.

The award-winning indie quartet has announced their four-show run with stops in Manila, Singapore, Baguio, and Cebu.

The Manila leg, which is produced by GNN Entertainment Productions and The Flying Lugaw, will feature long sets by the four-piece band, and will be supported by guest acts such as Aunt Robert, The Purest Blue, Taken By Cars, and Barbie Almalbis. The tour also partnered with Not Very Noise and John Bottles Events to bring Sugar Hiccup to Baguio and Cebu, respectively.

Filipino indie-rock quartet Oh, Flamingo! will be celebrating their 10th anniversary in the music scene with a birthday concert happening on July 15, 2023 (Saturday), from 4 pm onwards at the 123 Block in Mandaluyong City.

Aside from commemorating their decade-long milestone with a star-studded festival lineup, the four-piece act is also opening pre-order opportunities for the vinyl release of their critically acclaimed album, Pagtanda, which topped NME’s 10 best Southeast Asian albums and EPs of 2023 so far.

Anji, Maraming Baon Na 'Feels' Sa First Solo Concert Sa April 30

Masayang-masaya at puno ng pasasalamat si Anji Salvacion sa nalalapit niyang “Feels: The Concert” sa April 30 (Sabado), ang una niyang solo concert kung saan hangad niyang maka-connect sa fans niya.

“Sobrang special at important nito sa akin kasi mashe-share ko ‘yung moment sa mga supporters ko at inaabangan ko talaga ‘yung maranasan ‘yung bond ng performer sa audience niya,” ani Anji.

Kahit hindi masyadong nagbigay ng detalye tungkol sa mga kaabang-abang na performances na inihanda niya para sa digital concert, sinigurado naman ng dating “Pinoy Big Brother: Kumunity Season 10” celebrity housemate na hindi magkukulang sa concert vibe at relatable na ‘feels’ ang event.

Ibinahagi rin ni Anji sa “Feels: The Concert” virtual media conference ang pangarap niya na maisama ang bahagi ng hometown niyang Siargao sa show.

“Sa Siargao ako lumaki at doon bumuo ng family ‘yung parents ko. Gusto ko sanang madala ‘yung buong pamilya ko sa concert ko at makasama silang kumanta para mas maging special ‘yung moment,” sabi niya.

Kamakailan lang ay inilabas ni Anji ang single niyang “Dalampasigan” na siya mismo ang nagsulat at sumisimbulo sa mga alaala niya sa Siargao lalo na ang kabataan niya kasama ang kanyang ama.

Mabibili pa rin ang VIP at regular tickets para sa “Feels: The Concert” ng ABS-CBN Events sa KTX.ph sa halagang P399 at P199. Samantala, sold out na ang SVIP tickets na may kasamang behind-the-scenes documentary ng concert bukod pa sa access sa Zoom after-party at main concert link.

The countdown is on to the first ever live event to be staged by ABS-CBN since the pandemic forced the world to a standstill from March 2020, and there is a shared excitement felt worldwide, as global audiences get ready for “1MX Dubai” and “1MX Manila” happening on December 3, 2021.

Darren Espanto Shares His Routines and Rituals as He Rehearses for His Comeback Concert: “Home Run”

In a one-on-one interview with Asia’s Pop Heartthrob, Darren Espanto, he reveals that doing jumping jacks is one of the secrets to his vocal stamina.

“I try to train my voice so that its endurance is there by the time of the concert,” Darren shares. He claims that “it also helps to do jumping jacks or to do jump rope while vocalizing just for the stamina while dancing.”

He also owns to taking care of his overall health and says, “I try not to get sick, so I take vitamins daily.” Darren also adds that “My mom also makes me take salabat (ginger tea),” even if he was not a big fan of the spicy health drink but has gotten used to it after he discovered that “it really helps to loosen up the vocal cords.”

Darren also admits that no matter how many times he has performed onstage, he still gets the jitters. “It's just something that has always been there before every show big or small,” and he tries to get rid of it by praying. “Prayer always helps. It calms me down,” says the singer.

Sabi nga ng manager namin ni Kuya Kiel na si Nanay Jobert Sucaldito, since ginusto ko 'to, panindigan ko 'to dapat and I agree. Whew! Charity Concert Musical Soiree V Stages This April

A wonderful night is set to unfold as Roma Pradhan, the Indian singer, takes the stage once again for Musical Soiree V. This annual event is sure to be filled with great music, all while benefiting the charitable foundation Tahanan ng Pagmamahal. The event will take place from 6-8pm on April 27 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati City.

The fifth installment of her annual fundraising show promises to be even better than previous years as Roma will be performing a variety of Hindi music genres, ranging from Bollywood classics to more the modern hits of today! As per previous years, she is also known for performing a Tagalog song at each show; this year she will be singing "Tagumpay Nating Lahat," a song originally sung by award-winning international Broadway star Lea Salonga.

Sponge Cola To Hold "Sea Of Lights" Concert on March 29

This year, Sponge Cola will celebrate another great year of being one of the  premiere OPM rock bands in the industry and in true Sponge Cola fashion, they're bringing their songs, both old and new, straight to their audience through their one-night intimate concert "Sea of Lights" on March 29, 2019 at the Power Mac Spotlight Circuit Makati at 7PM.

Isignia Presents Danis Pop Artist MØ

Danish pop artist will be coming to Manila for the first time on April 15, 2019 at the New Frontier Theater, as part of her upcoming Forever Neverland World Tour that will include stops in Asia and Australia. MØ collaborated with Australian rapper Iggy Azalea on the 2014 single "Beg for It", which peaked at number 27 on the US Billboard Hot 100, earning MØ her first entry on the chart. 

The following year, MØ was featured on Major Lazer and DJ Snake's single "Lean On", which peaked highly on international charts, including number one in Australia, number two in the United Kingdom and number four in the United States, the music video also gained more than 2.5 billion views on YouTube, making it the fifteenth most viewed video on the site. MØ was featured on Snakehips single "Don't Leave”, and Major Lazer's single "Cold Water" alongside Canadian singer Justin Bieber which debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. Her 2016 single "Final Song" reached the top 5 in Denmark, and the top 20 in Australia, Norway and the United Kingdom.
