MONA releases debut EP Love, MONA: a modern take on love letters

The 5-track release captures the essence of love in varied forms

Filipino recording star MONA has officially released her highly anticipated debut EP, Love, MONA,

Available now via Sony Music Entertainment, the 5-track release serves as a collection of love letters in the form of songs. Inspired by the tradition of exchanging handwritten letters in the ‘90s, MONA channels this intimate and personal expression of emotion into her distinct brand of storytelling.

“I was born in the ’90s and I experienced those handwritten letters, and I kind of miss it,” shares Mona Gonzales, the artist behind the moniker MONA. “Now, people rarely do that as we live in a digital world and everything is online.”

The Ransom Collective’s Muri teases the release of her newest single “Afternoon” ahead of her debut EP

The violinist/singer-songwriter sets sight on dropping her first solo EP this year

The Ransom Collective’s Muri is slated to drop “Afternoon,” the first single off her upcoming debut EP to be released this year.

The Filipino singer-songwriter and violinist teased the project’s date of release on her social media accounts, along with the song title.

According to Muriel Gonzales, “Afternoon” was inspired by her personal experiences as a young woman navigating career and life challenges entirely on her own, in a country far away from home.

“I’ve been working on this song for quite a while,” she admits. “Without revealing too much about the creative and thought process behind Afternoon, I actually find it freeing to open up about being vulnerable and share a piece of myself through songwriting. Sometimes, expressing what you really feel helps you gain a deeper understanding of yourself as a person and as an artist. Making the entire track was both a journey and a reflection. I can’t wait to share it with the rest of the world.”

Luke Hemmings ushers in new era with the release of new EP, boy

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Luke Hemmings has released his highly-anticipated new EP, boy, via Arista Records. The record, co-produced with longtime collaborator Sammy Witte (Maggie Rogers, Harry Styles, Freya Ridings), is a concise and cohesive 7-track coterie of songs, each offering a new sense of maturity, growth, and humanity for Hemmings.  Arriving alongside the project is a stunning official visual EP consisting of all seven tracks which premiered globally for eager fans on YouTube at midnight. Watch here. Hemmings today also released his deeply felt single “Benny” and its companion visualizer. “Benny’s” dreamy soundscape is an ode to family, but one that aches with the loss of a life sometimes lived on their periphery.

“The song is about guilt I spend a lot of time away from my family and live in a different country than them.  As you get older and life moves on, things happen at home and it’s the guilt of not being there and missing moments.  It’s hard to miss the good moments, but even harder to miss the bad moments. You can’t be there to fix it all and be there for the ones you love,” revealed Hemmings.

Singaporean-Filipino artist Ysa Yaneza seizes the spotlight on self-titled debut EP, YSA

The 4-track EP chronicles her journey towards heartbreak, reinvention, and womanhood

After getting noticed for her empowering electronic pop/R&B anthems, Singaporean Filipina artist Ysa Yaneza is ready to step into the spotlight with the release of her self-titled debut EP, YSA.

The 4-track EP offers an honest and visceral look into the process of embracing her true, beautiful self while peeling away, one by one, the trauma and doubts that have come to define her past. It also contains songs that chronicle her journey towards heartbreak, reinvention, and womanhood.

The genre-melding project, which fuses Y2K pop with R&B vocal stylings, Caribbean-tinged beats, and retro-futurist soundscapes, is co-written by Ysa herself along with established collaborators in the global indie/electronic/bedroom music scene. Chicago-based musician and producer Shubu, co-wrote and produced Ysa’s current single "1Nightwitu," while SOLRWAVE co-helmed "Jaded" and "Thinking Of You." The whole EP was mastered by Stuart Hawkes, a sound engineer who has been nominated for a Grammy and worked on records by artists like Charli XCX, Disclosure, Lorde, and Mabel.

Jaime Miller Unveils Debut Broken Memories EP

“My EP is a story of going through hardships and beautiful moments and things I never would’ve expected. I want my songs to be an honest conversation with my fans, where I’m sharing all these different things I’ve learned about myself over these past few years.” – JAMIE MILLER

Pop singer-songwriter Jamie Miller is proud to unveil his debut EP, Broken Memories, available now via Atlantic Records/Geaux Uptown Records at all DSPs and streaming services HERE. Broken Memories sees Jamie affirming his talent for transforming heartache into songs with a profoundly uplifting power.

Today’s EP release is further celebrated by the anthemic single, “It Is What It Is,” produced by Louis Schoorl (5 Seconds of Summer) and Cal Shapiro (Timeflies), and co-written by Miller, Schoorl, and Shapiro. The guitar-driven anthem is joined by an official music video, premiering today via YouTube HERE.

“‘It Is What It Is’ is what I tell myself anytime something doesn’t go my way,” Miller says. “It means that whatever happens, you can get through it and move on. It was important to me to include that song on the EP and let my fans know that even when things are dark, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.”

The six-song Broken Memories includes the Wales-born, Los Angeles-based artist’s breakthrough hit, “Here’s Your Perfect,” along with such radiant new tracks as “Last Call“ and “I Lost Myself In Loving You.” Jamie’s heartfelt debut TV performance of “Last Call” on the Emmy Award-winning Kelly Clarkson Show can be viewed HERE. Currently boasting over 380M global streams and over 93M video views via YouTube thus far, “Here’s Your Perfect” proved a monumental triumph following its April 2021 release, spending 13 weeks on Billboard’s “Global Ex-US” chart amidst acclaim from major outlets like Rolling Stone on the strength of Miller’s fearlessly confessional songwriting and warm yet commanding vocal work. Now with well over 21M global streams, “I Lost Myself In Loving You” is joined by an official music video currently approaching 7M individual views via YouTube. These tracks and more have help Jamie earn over 480M global streams, 2.5 million TikTok followers, and 220 million YouTube views.
