We Are Imaginary to represent the Philippines in Hanoi, Vietnam for this year’s NO HEADLINER festival

Filipino indie rock band We Are Imaginary will be representing the Philippines at this year’s NO HEADLINER 4, happening in West Lake Water Park in Hanoi, Vietnam on October 18 - 19, 2025.

Now bigger in scale and freer in spirit, the independent music festival will bring together 20 international and local acts, spanning genres from alternative rock, indie, R&B, experimental, and beyond. Alongside the live music segment of the festival, the creative experience area has also been expanded to offer audiences a range of engaging, art-connected activities and interactive spaces.

“It is always our dream to be heard around Asia so to be invited and to play once again outside our usual turf is such an exciting opportunity,” shares Ahmad Tanji, the lead vocalist and guitarist of We Are Imaginary. “Our last international gig was for the Archipelago Festival (Jakarta, Indonesia) last 2017. It has been a while indeed.”

We Are Imaginary releases Dracula-themed music video for new single “Stockholm”

Shot in Bangkok City, the music video embraces camp, horror, and subtle commentary on romantic detachment and modern alienation

Filipino indie rock stalwarts We Are Imaginary has dropped the official music video for their latest single, “Stockholm.”

Directed by long-time collaborator Darrell Guinn of Hungry Cat Pictures, the music video features the classic tale of Dracula, but this time, reimagined as a brooding, hopeless romantic, lost in a world that has long outgrown him.

We Are Imaginary reflects on toxic relationships in dreamy new track “Stockholm”

The latest single showcases the band’s more introspective and pensive side

Filipino indie rock outfit We Are Imaginary are back with “Stockholm,” the latest single from their forthcoming self-titled album, set to be released on vinyl under Eikon Records in mid-2025.

Exploring themes of emotional entanglement and vulnerability, “Stockholm” is a gripping meditation on toxic attachment disguised as love. The track marks a pivotal moment for frontman and guitarist Ahmad Tanji, who channels years of disquietude into one of the band’s most sonically and lyrically captivating releases to date.

The song opens with the Nietzsche-inspired line, “Staring at the abyss / staring back at me,” which immediately sets the tone for introspection. As the track unfolds, lyrics like “So used with bad directions / I’m following no leads” imply how the protagonist continues to spiral out of existential dread, losing the will to continue fighting—only to be pulled back by the subtle, grounding sound.

We Are Imaginary marks new era as an indie rock duo with new single “Pinkish Hue”

The hypnotic track chronicles the slow deterioration of a love that was once vibrant and promising

After celebrating their fifteenth anniversary with the release of their fourth studio album, Swan Songs for Drifters last year, We Are Imaginary continues to evolve as a dynamic indie rock duo. Comprised of founding members and brothers Ahmad Tanji (vocals and guitars) and Khalid Tanji (guitars), the band remains steadfast in its commitment to crafting compelling, emotive music.

Reinvigorated by a streamlined two-member lineup and bolstered by a fresh group of collaborators, We Are Imaginary returns with “Pinkish Hue,” the first single marking a new chapter in their musical journey.
