TFC Celebrates the 120th Anniversary of Philippine Independence with the City of Carson

The City of Carson and the Philippine Independence Day Foundation present the 120th Philippine Independence Day celebration on Saturday, June 9, at the Veterans Park on 22400 S. Moneta Avenue. This commemorates the declaration of Philippine independence from Spain on June 12, 1898.

The whole day affair starts at 7:30 A.M. with a flag raising in front of Veterans Park. This will be followed by an ecumenical service led by Rev. Emmanuel Orendain, pastor of Calvary Presbyterian Church, and then a community mass celebrated by Rev. Father Albert Avenido of St.Philomena Catholic Church. There will then be the presentation of colors and the parade led by City of Carson Mayor Albert Robles.

The rest of the day will be dedicated to cultural and musical entertainment and various activities for the whole family.

TFC supports Martin Nievera's historic September concerts in Las Vegas and Honolulu this Labor Day weekend

It’s rare for any artist to have almost back-to-back concerts in two of the biggest cities for entertainment – Las Vegas and Honolulu.  Moreover, it’s even rarer for artists to hold such concerts in premier venues like the M Resort Spa Casino and Blue Note Jazz Club Restaurant.

Martin was the first Goodwill Ambassador of ABS-CBN The Filipino Channel (TFC), the leading Filipino media and entertainment network. He was also the first Ambassador for the Bantay Bata Program of ABS-CBN Foundation which has become a model for child care, rescue and protection services. Most recently, Martin became TFC’s first artist to perform the U.S. national anthem ahead of a Golden State Warriors game at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California back in March of this year. And these are just a few to mention because he also set records in terms of platinum record sales and concert attendance.

TFC Brings ABS-CBN Star Magic 25 Celebration to Canada and U.S. this April

Dubbed “Original Music Only,” the concert series kicked off at Rancho Del Ray, San Diego, California (June 17), and moved on to Los Angeles’ Colony Theater (June 18); Ichiban, San Francisco (June 24); Sheraton La Guardia, New York (June 25);and Silverton Casino, Las Vegas (July 2).
