Sponge Cola shares the other side of the story in new track “Kelly (Sagittarius)”

The alt-rock piece serves as a response to “Kelly (Scorpio),” released last month

Filipino alt-rock band Sponge Cola continues to explore the complexities of heartbreak with the release of “Kelly (Sagittarius),” an emotionally charged pop-rock track that offers a different perspective on the aftermath of a painful breakup.

Serving as the fiery counterpart to last month’s melancholic “Kelly (Scorpio),” the new single completes a compelling two-part series, delving deep into the subjective nature of truth and emotion.

The dual tracks—“Kelly (Scorpio)” and “Kelly (Sagittarius)”—form a unique digital bundle that captures two distinct emotional responses to the same heartache. While “Scorpio” conveys a sense of defeat and resignation, “Sagittarius” presents a more hostile and confrontational take to a traumatic experience.

Sponge Cola releases “Tatlong Buwan,” a track inspired by hit K-drama Queen of Tears

Filipino band Sponge Cola releases another pop-rock anthem inspired by a hit Korean drama.

Their new single “Tatlong Buwan” explores a couple’s journey towards healing and reconnection. It echoes the familiar narrative of everyone’s current favorite series, ‘Queen of Tears,’ which stars Korean superstars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won.

According to Yael Yuzon, Sponge Cola’s lead vocalist and guitarist, the song serves as “a love letter, epistolary, or even a midnight soliloquy for one person.”

Sponge Cola To Hold "Sea Of Lights" Concert on March 29

This year, Sponge Cola will celebrate another great year of being one of the  premiere OPM rock bands in the industry and in true Sponge Cola fashion, they're bringing their songs, both old and new, straight to their audience through their one-night intimate concert "Sea of Lights" on March 29, 2019 at the Power Mac Spotlight Circuit Makati at 7PM.

Since they started, the band (composed of frontman and lead singer Yael Yuzon, guitarist Erwin "Armo" Armovit, bassist Gosh Dilay, and drummer Ted Mark Cruz) has been delivering non-stop hits that are already integral to many Sponge Cola supporters and OPM fans alike. Their catalog spans all their multi-awarded albums, which include certified hits such as "Jeepney" "Gemini," "Nakapagtataka," "Bitiw." "Tuliro," "Puso," "Tambay." "Kunwari" and so much more. They have no doubt been a part of the journey of many Filipinos, may it be through teleserye soundtracks or their life soundtracks.
