Step Back Into the Ring as Wrestling Drama Heels Season 2 heads to Lionsgate Play this September 22

Alexander Ludwig and Stephen Amell reprise their roles in critically acclaimed drama Heels Season 2, exclusively available in the Philippines on Lionsgate Play.

Packed with ferocious passion for wrestling and compelling family drama, Heels Season 2 brings audiences back to its close-knit Duffy, Georgia community. Starring Stephen Amell (“Arrow”) and Alexander Ludwig (“Vikings”),"Heels" follows a family-owned wrestling promotion as two brothers and rivals, Jack Spade (Amell) and Ace Spade (Ludwig), are at war over their late father’s legacy while working to find their identity and their individual versions of success. “Heel” is a common wrestling term used to describe the antagonist or villain in the ring, however, the line between hero and heel is much less clear for this sibling rivalry outside of the ring.

Season two begins after a spectacular showing at the South Georgia State Fair, and the Duffy Wrestling League’s popularity is suddenly on the upswing. Hoping to seize the opportunity, Jack and his cohorts prepare for a possible business deal with a new streaming service that may propel them onto a national stage. But the past and its tragedies threaten to upset everything when Ace leaves Duffy and the Dome in his rearview, meanwhile rival promotion Florida Wrestling Dystopia’s vengeful frontman Gully comes calling.

Critically-acclaimed sports drama Heels Season 2 is a must-watch that will keep the audience (both wrestling fans and casual viewers) hooked to the very end.

Press play on the intense drama both on and off the ring with Heels Season 2 premiering on Lionsgate Play on September 22.

With their aspirations for stardom at stake, McJim Dreams Get Real Talent Search’s Top Six battled it out in an epic finale where power belter Apple Delleva from Cabuyao, Laguna emerged as this season’s champion last Monday, Nov. 9, at the Music Museum in San Juan City.

Considered as the biggest threat in the competition by other contestants, Deleva showed why she deserved the title with her powerful rendition of Angeline Quinto’s “Kunin Mo Na Ang Lahat Sa Akin” and a strong yet emotional cover of Yeng Constantino’s hit “Ikaw.”

“I feel very and happy and thankful! We have different genres and we have different things to offer so it’s really hard to predict who will win, but I just gave my all and it all paid off,” says the 19-year-old Communications student of University of Perpetual Help in Las Piñas.
