Iconic dream pop band Sugar Hiccup to headline 4-city tour in the Philippines and Singapore next month

The award-winning quartet will be reuniting in time for their post-30th anniversary 

Pioneering Filipino dream-pop outfit Sugar Hiccup will embark on a Philippine tour next month to commemorate more than 30 years as a band.

The award-winning indie quartet has announced their four-show run with stops in Manila, Singapore, Baguio, and Cebu.

The Manila leg, which is produced by GNN Entertainment Productions and The Flying Lugaw, will feature long sets by the four-piece band, and will be supported by guest acts such as Aunt Robert, The Purest Blue, Taken By Cars, and Barbie Almalbis. The tour also partnered with Not Very Noise and John Bottles Events to bring Sugar Hiccup to Baguio and Cebu, respectively.

Blue and small, and standing only three apples tall, The Smurfs are set to make their debut on Nickelodeon in an all-new series premiering in Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines on Monday, October 25. Fresh episodes will continue to roll out weekdays at 5.30pm (WIB) and 6.30pm (MY, PH).

Kapuso star Gwen Zamora topbills international film “The Witness”



GMA 7 artist Gwen Zamora was chosen to be the lead actress of an international film “The Witness” which will also be shown in the Philippines this March.

After appearing in several television shows and local movies, Gwen embarks to a thrilling challenge in her career as an artist---showing the international audiences her acting prowess through The Witness.

Among the cast of the said film, Gwen Zamora is the only Filipina yet she assures the moviegoers that she did her best to be at par with her co-actors.
Gwen portrays the role of Angel Fordeliza Isagani, a General Manager of a hotel, who was transferred from Manila to the Jakarta hotel. She is haunted by strange dreams about a young man, named Aris, who attempted suicide by firing his own gun into his mouth.

Who is Aris in Angel’s life? What does the bizarre dreams wanted to convey?
As Angel finds answers to the dreams that keep on haunting her, don’t miss “The Witness” on March 21, 2012 on theaters nationwide.
