Korean Crime Action Drama Villains To Premiere On HBO MAX On December 18

Korean crime action drama series, Villains starring Yoo Ji-tae (Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area, Vigilante) and Lee Min-jeong (Fates and Furies, Once Again) will make its streaming debut on Thursday, December 18 on HBO Max.

The eight-episode drama from TVING follows criminal mastermind, J (played by Yoo Ji-tae) and master forger, Han Soo-hyun (played by Lee Min-jeong) as they navigate the world of crime and attempt to survive the violent power struggle between villains over the elusive, ultra-precision counterfeit bill, known as the Supernote – while under the watchful eye of the National Intelligence Service (NIS).

HBO Announces Season Renewals For Two Game Of Thrones Franchise Series, Setting New Seasons Each Year Through 2028

A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms Renewed For Season Two And House Of The Dragon Renewed For Season Four

During yesterday’s press presentation in New York City, U.S., Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO, HBO and HBO Max Content, officially announced the renewal of HBO’s two Game of Thrones franchise series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and House of the Dragon, extending each series run through 2028. Both series will air on HBO and be available to stream on HBO Max. 

The HBO Original half-hour drama series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has been renewed for a second season, ahead of the first season debut on Monday, January 19. The second season will debut in 2027.

HBO Releases Official Trailer And Key Art For The Original Drama Series IT: Welcome To Derry, Debuting October 27

HBO has released the official trailer and key art for the original drama series IT: Welcome to Derry, from Warner Bros. Television, debuting Monday, October 27 on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max. New episodes of the eight-episode season will debut weekly leading up to the season finale on Monday, December 15. 

The series is developed for television by filmmakers Andy Muschietti and Barbara Muschietti (IT, IT Chapter Two, The Flash) and Jason Fuchs (IT Chapter Two, Wonder Woman, Argylle).  Andy Muschietti directs multiple episodes of the original series.  

Set in the world of Stephen King’s IT universe, IT: Welcome to Derry is based on King’s “IT” novel and expands the vision established by filmmaker Andy Muschietti in the movies IT and IT Chapter Two.  

Cast includes Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård.

HBO Original Drama Series Lanterns Begins Production

In Association With Warner Bros. Television And Dc Studios, Additional Directors Include Stephen Williams, Geeta Vasant Patel And Alik Sakharov  

Production has commenced on the HBO Original drama series Lanterns on the historic Warner Bros. lot in Burbank. The series, an HBO Original production in association with Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios, is based on the iconic DC title Green Lantern.   

The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.

In Celebration Of The Last Of Us Day, Hbo Releases Official Tlou Day Teaser And Art For Season Two Of Original Drama Series The Last Of Us

In celebration of The Last of Us Day, HBO has released an official TLOU Day teaser and art by Greg Ruth for the second season of the HBO Original drama series The Last of Us, based on the acclaimed video game franchise developed by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation® consoles. Taking place annually on September 26, the date on which the cordyceps virus catalyzed the events of The Last of Us also known as “Outbreak Day,” the annual TLOU Day event, now in its 11th year, celebrates the franchise and its dedicated fan community. Following a record-breaking first season as the most-watched debut season of a series ever for HBO, the second season of The Last of Us will debut in 2025.

Max Original Film Salem’s Lot Debuts October 3

New Line Cinema’s film adaptation of Stephen King’s 1975 bestselling novel “Salem’s Lot” will debut on October 3 on HBO GO. The Max Original film Salem’s Lot reunites the producing teams behind the record-breaking horror franchises The Conjuring universe and the IT films. Gary Dauberman writes, directs, and executive produces the film. Producers are James Wan and Michael Clear for Atomic Monster, Roy Lee for Vertigo, and Mark Wolper. 

Author Ben Mears returns to his childhood home of Jerusalem’s Lot in search of inspiration for his next book only to discover his hometown is being preyed upon by a bloodthirsty vampire.

Hbo Original Limited Series The Penguin Premieres September 20

HBO Original limited series The Penguin begins with the series premiere on Friday, September 20 on HBO and HBO GO, with all subsequent new episodes of the eight-episode series continuing every Monday, from September 30. HBO has also released the official key art for The Penguin.

Starring Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb (aka “The Penguin”), the DC Studios series continues filmmaker Matt Reeves’ The Batman epic crime saga that began with Warner Bros. Pictures’ global blockbuster The Batman. Developed by showrunner Lauren LeFranc, the series centers on the character played by Farrell in the film.

HBO Original Drama Series Dune: Prophecy Debuts This November

HBO has released the official second teaser for the original drama series Dune: Prophecy. Co-produced with Legendary Television, the six-episode season debuts this November.

From the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, Dune: Prophecy follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. Dune: Prophecy is inspired by the novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

HBO Harry Potter Series Finds Its Writer and Director

HBO, in association with Warner Bros. Television, has named Francesca Gardiner (HBO’s Succession and His Dark Materials, Killing Eve) as showrunner and executive producer, and Mark Mylod (HBO’s Succession, Game of Thrones and The Last of Us) as executive producer and director of multiple episodes of the upcoming original Harry Potter series. The new series, currently in development, will be available on Max’s expanding global footprint.

The series will be a faithful adaptation of the beloved Harry Potter book series by author and executive producer J.K. Rowling. The series will feature a new cast to lead a new generation of fandom, full of the fantastic detail and much-loved characters Harry Potter fans have loved for over twenty-five years. Each season will bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic and cherished films will remain at the core of the franchise and available to watch globally.

Peter Claffey And Dexter Sol Ansell To Star In The HBO Original Drama Series 'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight'

Peter Claffey and Dexter Sol Ansell will star in the HBO Original drama series A Knight of The Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight. Claffey will play the role of Dunk and Ansell will play Egg. 

A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall (Claffey), and his diminutive squire, Egg (Ansell). Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends. 

Peter Claffey is an actor and former Connacht Rugby player with credits in Apple TV’s Bad Sisters (2022) and Wreck (2022). Claffey’s upcoming projects include starring opposite Cillian Murphy in Small Things Like These and season 3 of Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla.

Lisa Manobal (Lisa) From BlackPink Joins The Third Installment of HBO Original Series 'The White Lotus'

Lalisa Manobal (Lisa) from BLACKPINK has joined the previously announced cast, including Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Walton Goggins, Dom Hetrakul, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Julian Kostov, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Morgana O’Reilly, Lek Patravadi, Shalini Peiris, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong  and Aimee Lou Wood of the third installment of the Emmy®-winning HBO Original series The White Lotus, from Mike White. HBO Asia Originals Series The Accidental Influencer Debut February 10 Exclusively On HBO GO

Warner Bros. Discovery today announces the premiere of new HBO Asia Originals Taiwanese comedy drama, The Accidental Influencer. Revolving around the unexpected twists in the life of an ordinary woman following her breakup, the 13-episode series debuts with its first three episodes on Chinese New Year, February 10 exclusively on HBO GO.

Directed by Pei-Ju Hsieh, The Accidental Influencer follows the life of Red Ho, a Taiwanese who dreams of owning an apartment and marrying her boyfriend as she hits a major milestone, her 30th birthday. However, her hope for a perfect life is dashed when she is suddenly dumped by her boyfriend on her birthday. Things get worse when she discovers who her boyfriend left her for.

HBO Releases Official Teaser and First Look For Season Two of Original Drama Series House of the Dragon

HBO has released the official teaser for the second season of the HBO Original drama series House of the Dragon during its CCXP23 panel in São Paulo, Brazil. Coming in 2024, the eight-episode second season will debut on HBO and HBO GO.  

Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” tells the story of House Targaryen.
