Paris Is The Host City For The 2023 MTV EMAs


MTV Music Awards Show will be live from Paris, France, on November 5th 2023

MTV today confirmed the 30th annual MTV EMAs will travel to Paris, France for the first time since 1995. Featuring performances from the industry’s biggest artists and celebrating music from around the world, the event will take place in Paris, France, and broadcast on MTV in over 150 countries on Sunday, November 5th, 2023.

2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards returns to LA’s famous Barker Hangar on Sunday, May 7th

MTV today announced the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards will return on Sunday, May 7th with an epic Los Angeles takeover at the Barker Hangar. The evening will honor the biggest and best in both movies and television, across scripted and unscripted, for one supersized, can’t-miss event.

The event will also air on MTV internationally in more than 170 countries – Fans in the Philippines can follow @MTVasia on Instagram and TikTok for the latest and greatest from the MTV Movie & TV Awards, and stay tuned for local premiere details. Host, honorees, performers, presenters and additional details will be announced at a later date.

From June to July, they’ll spill the beans in a series of #MTVTellUs videos posted every week across MTV Asia’s Instagram and YouTube.

MTV today revealed that legendary actor, comedian and musician Jack Black will be honored with the “Comedic Genius Award” at the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards. Hosted by actress and musician Vanessa Hudgens, the epic one-night event will kick off from Barker Hangar on Sunday, June 5 with Movie & TV Awards: UNSCRIPTED, hosted by Tayshia Adams, immediately after. In Southeast Asia, the two awards shows will premiere on Wednesday, June 8, starting 7pm (TH, WIB), 8pm (SG, PH) and 9pm (MY) on the MTV Asia channel.

The campaign in the Philippines kicks off on March 8, with MTV championing the women behind the brews and bops through a special coffee bundle for charity, free cold brew giveaways and on-air specials featuring some of the most inspiring women in music and television.

“2021 MTV EMAs” Celebrates Music For All Around The World

The “2021 MTV EMAs” returned live from the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna in Hungary with a global celebration of music for ALL.  The epic event, which aired on MTV in 180 countries, featured electrifying performances from today’s hottest stars and honored some of the world’s biggest artists while also celebrating music, love and equality. Fans in Southeast Asia can catch the same-day premiere on the MTV Asia channel at 8pm (SG, MY, PH) and 7pm (WIB) tonight.

Ed Sheeran took “Best Artist” and “Best Song” for “Bad Habits.” Lil Nas X was awarded “Best Video” for “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name),”and BTS snagged the most awards with four including “Best Pop,” “Best K-Pop,” “Best Group,” and “Biggest Fans.” 

First-time EMA winners Måneskin took home “Best Rock,” while show host and performer Saweetie won “Best New.” Nicki Minaj earned a top award with “Best Hip-Hop,” Olivia Rodrigo was awarded “Best Push,” Maluma won “Best Latin,” and YUNGBLUD snagged the award for “Best Alternative.”

MTV today announced that GRAMMY® nominated OneRepublic will headline “MTV World Stage Hungary,” closing out “MTV Music Week” at the country’s spectacular Heroes Square on Saturday, November 13th.  The concert will take place ahead of the “2021 MTV EMAs,” which will take place on Sunday, November 14th at 9:00pm CET (November 15, 4am SGT) from the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna in Hungary. Rap Superstar Saweetie To Host And Perform AT The "2021 MTV EMAS" In Budapest, Hungary On November 14th

Fans in Asia can catch the same-day premiere on the MTV Asia channel at 8pm (SG, MY, PH) and 7pm (WIB) on November 15.

MTV today confirmed that rapper/actress/entrepreneur Saweetie will host and perform “Best Friend” and “Back To The Streets” from her upcoming debut album Pretty Bitch Music at the “2021 MTV EMAs” happening on Sunday, November 14th (November 15th, Asia).

“Anything can happen at the MTV EMAs,” said Saweetie. “The EMAs celebrate the universal language of music for the whole world to see and I can’t wait to get out there and perform because I’ve got some surprises of my own!”
