Paris Is The Host City For The 2023 MTV EMAs


MTV Music Awards Show will be live from Paris, France, on November 5th 2023

MTV today confirmed the 30th annual MTV EMAs will travel to Paris, France for the first time since 1995. Featuring performances from the industry’s biggest artists and celebrating music from around the world, the event will take place in Paris, France, and broadcast on MTV in over 150 countries on Sunday, November 5th, 2023.

“2021 MTV EMAs” Celebrates Music For All Around The World

The “2021 MTV EMAs” returned live from the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna in Hungary with a global celebration of music for ALL.  The epic event, which aired on MTV in 180 countries, featured electrifying performances from today’s hottest stars and honored some of the world’s biggest artists while also celebrating music, love and equality. Fans in Southeast Asia can catch the same-day premiere on the MTV Asia channel at 8pm (SG, MY, PH) and 7pm (WIB) tonight.

Ed Sheeran took “Best Artist” and “Best Song” for “Bad Habits.” Lil Nas X was awarded “Best Video” for “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name),”and BTS snagged the most awards with four including “Best Pop,” “Best K-Pop,” “Best Group,” and “Biggest Fans.” 

First-time EMA winners Måneskin took home “Best Rock,” while show host and performer Saweetie won “Best New.” Nicki Minaj earned a top award with “Best Hip-Hop,” Olivia Rodrigo was awarded “Best Push,” Maluma won “Best Latin,” and YUNGBLUD snagged the award for “Best Alternative.”

Rap Superstar Saweetie To Host And Perform AT The "2021 MTV EMAS" In Budapest, Hungary On November 14th

Fans in Asia can catch the same-day premiere on the MTV Asia channel at 8pm (SG, MY, PH) and 7pm (WIB) on November 15.

MTV today confirmed that rapper/actress/entrepreneur Saweetie will host and perform “Best Friend” and “Back To The Streets” from her upcoming debut album Pretty Bitch Music at the “2021 MTV EMAs” happening on Sunday, November 14th (November 15th, Asia).

“Anything can happen at the MTV EMAs,” said Saweetie. “The EMAs celebrate the universal language of music for the whole world to see and I can’t wait to get out there and perform because I’ve got some surprises of my own!”

“We’re thrilled to have Saweetie host and perform on this year’s EMAs in Budapest,” said Bruce Gillmer, President of Music, Music Talent, Programming & Events for ViacomCBS. “Saweetie is a multi-talented force who will undoubtably light up the stage on one of music’s biggest nights.”
