Japan based vocal and dance powerhouse ATARASHII GAKKO! are set to go global with the announcement of their first ever headline tour across the UK/EU and Asia, with more dates to be announced.   Tickets will be on sale at 10am local on 22nd March at atarashiigakko.com.

Fresh from selling out over 10,000 tickets at Japan’s legendary Budokan Arena, 2024 is already shaping up to be an incredible year for the band.  The tour will see them hit another milestone as they prepare to appear at both Coachella and Primavera Sound festivals and will once again see their return to 88rising’s iconic Head in the Clouds Festival, this time as headliners.

Recent single “Otona Blue” took the world by storm last year, recording over 3.3 billion views on TikTok. ATARASHII GAKKO! have built a reputation for pushing boundaries with their innovative sound and electrifying live performances, and they have shown no signs of slowing down as their new single “HELLO (from The Tiger’s Apprentice)” debuted in the American MEDIABASE Top 40 radio. “We are so excited to announce our Europe and Asia leg of the world tour! 2024 is a great year and we cannot wait to hang out with all of you. Many of us have heard of the adage from American poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow that states: “music is the universal language of mankind.” In these trying times, it is hope, faith, unity, and love that we want to resound everywhere in the world, which TFC hopes to spread by creating a music video of the song “Ililigtas Ka Niya” featuring residents from the Middle East and Europe.

Critically acclaimed Filipino film “Quezon’s Game” screening in EU, to premiere via ‘film in concert’ event

More than eight decades ago, the then President Manuel L. Quezon opened the Philippine shores to about 1,200 Jewish refugees who are escaping from the wrath of the Nazis—a part of the Philippine history that is unknown to many but is made realized by the film “Quezon’s Game”.

“Quezon’s Game”, which was produced by ABS-CBN Films Star Cinema in association with iWant and Kinetek, is a film that tells the story of how Philippine President Manuel Quezon, future U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower, and several other notable figures set out to rescue Jewish refugees from the ghettos of Germany and Austria. What seems within their power at first, turns out to be fraught with astronomical obstacles. On top of this, Quezon must battle a relapse of tuberculosis. In his final days, Quezon asks the question "Could I have done more?" before recollecting one of the least known, but most uplifting stories in Philippine history.

ABS-CBN takes #JustLoveArawAraw caravan across the world to the Middle East and Europe

From a successful run in Australia, ABS-CBN’s summer entertainment caravan #JustLoveArawAraw crosses over to more parts of the world as premier network The Filipino Channel (TFC) brings the stars and celebrations to Middle East and Europe starting this coming week.

ABS-CBN, the largest and leading Filipino-owned media and entertainment network, kicked off the Philippines’s summer season in April with the theme #JustLoveArawAraw.  The theme speaks of how Filipinos show their compassion for families, friends and countrymen in many ways despite the challenges they face.  Since May, TFC has been bringing the celebrations to various parts of the world starting in Australia last May 3 and 5 and was mounted simultaneously on June 10 in Taiwan and Hong Kong. 

This time, TFC together with Filipino community partners in key areas are bringing the summer festivities to United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain and Oman in the Middle East, and will be joining the colorful festivities in Italy, Spain, France, Austria, Switzerland and the UK in Europe.  To spread the #JustLoveArawAraw spirit in collaborative events are Philippine Concert King Martin Nievera, Breakthrough Actress Arci Muñoz and The Next Big Diva Morrissette Amonin the Middle East; and Dance Empress Maja Salvador, comedian Chokoleit and Kapamilya Heartthrob Daniel Matsunaga in the United  Kingdom.
