“Blue’s Big City Adventure” movie brings Steve Burns, Broadway stars, and catchy tunes to fans in the Philippines on April 29

Josh (Josh Dela Cruz) and Blue skidoo to New York City in “Blue’s Big City Adventure,” the very first movie in the “Blue’s Clues” franchise. Follow the duo as they meet new friends and discover the magic of music, dance, and following one’s dreams, as Josh gets the opportunity of a lifetime to audition for Rainbow Puppy’s Broadway musical. Fans across Southeast Asia can catch the movie premiere this Saturday, April 29 on the Nick Jr. channel at 9:30am PH.

Three generations of hosts reunite 

Remember that heartwarming viral video where Steve, the original host of “Blue’s Clues”, explained his sudden departure from the series and made an entire generation of fans misty-eyed with nostalgia? Prep yourself for more of such wholesomeness, as the entire “Blue’s Clues” crew reunites for this special movie event, and all three hosts — Josh, Steve, and Joe — come together for the first time in the Big Apple. 

Broadway stars and spectacular musical numbers!

We can’t talk about New York City without mentioning Broadway – the iconic boulevard of world-famous theatres that is now synonymous with the art form itself. Look out for special appearance by bonafide Broadway stars BD Wong, Ali Stroker, Alex Winter, Phillipa Soo and Steven Pasquale. This movie also marks a full-circle moment for current “Blue’s Clues and You!” host Josh Dela Cruz, who played Aladdin on Broadway for five years straight before becoming Blue’s best friend. He flexes his musical chops in the movie’s dazzling song-and-dance numbers, filmed on-location in Times Square, Central Park and other iconic New York landmarks.

On the movie adventure, Josh and Blue eventually come upon Taboo in Central Park, and the Fil-Am Black Eyed Peas' member helps them find their song. Give it a listen, and get ready to bop along to other catchy numbers in the movie.
