Starring none other than SpongeBob’s best friend, The Patrick Star Show is a family sitcom featuring the titular sea star himself (voiced by Bill Fagerbakke) and the rest of his family, as they are constantly disrupted by Patrick’s wild whims and surreal imagination. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio, the series is currently showing on the Nickelodeon channel, airing weekdays at 6pm (MY, PH) and 5pm (WIB).

The Patrick Star Show is the second spinoff of the number-one animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, and finds our hero, Patrick Star, living at home with his dad Cecil, mother Bunny, sister Squidina, and salty ol’ grandfather, GrandPat. Instead of following a traditional narrative storyline, Patrick’s show is built around his ever-changing whims. As he presents his variety show to an audience of one (his pet urchin, Ouchie), Patrick’s attention leaps from one sequence to the next. He may start off with a cooking segment, then get distracted by an old west tale, follow that up by learning about golf, only to end up someplace completely different.

Outside of Patrick’s TV show lies the real world of his family, friends, and the rest of Bikini Bottom. Events that affect Patrick in real life – Mom washing all his costumes on laundry day, Dad taking Patrick to work with him, SpongeBob embarking on a job hunt – will also affect the show that day. Patrick’s imagination lets us see the characters we love in ways we never expected!

Longtime voice of Patrick Star, Fagerbakke lends his voice as the young adult Patrick alongside new cast members: Tom Wilson (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Cecil Star, Patrick’s fun-loving, happy-go-lucky dad who always puts his family first;  Cree Summer (Rugrats) as Bunny Star, Patrick’s loving, sea star mom who is a kooky oddball; Jill Talley (SpongeBob SquarePants) as Squidina Star, Patrick’s 8-year-old little sister who drinks her coffee from a sippy cup; and Dana Snyder (The Penguins of Madagascar) as GrandPat Star, Patrick’s genius grandpa, and the most intelligent member of the Star family. Summer also voices Grandma Tentacles, Squidward’s grandma.

Additional cast members include veteran actors Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward Tentacles), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy Cheeks), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton).

The Patrick Star Show joins spinoff series Kamp Koral: SpongeBob’s Under Years, which premiered in Southeast Asia last year, both marking Nickelodeon’s strategy to be the home of the biggest franchises kids and families love. These series expand Nickelodeon’s growing portfolio of influential properties that already includes SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Blue’s Clues & You!, the all-new animated Star Trek: Prodigy series, The Smurfs partnership and the recently announced Transformers co-production.

Since its launch July 17, 1999, SpongeBob SquarePants has reigned as the most-watched kids’ animated series for 20 consecutive years, while generating a universe of beloved characters, pop culture catchphrases and memes, theatrical releases, consumer products, a Tony Award®-winning Broadway musical and a global fan base. SpongeBob SquarePants is the most widely distributed property in ViacomCBS Networks International history, seen in more than 170 countries and territories, translated in 30+ languages, and averaging more than 100 million total viewers every month. SpongeBob SquarePants was created by Stephen Hillenburg and produced by Nickelodeon in Burbank. The character-driven cartoon chronicles the nautical and sometimes nonsensical adventures of SpongeBob, an incurable optimist and earnest sea sponge, and his undersea friends.
