Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha to meet overseas Filipinos on TFC’s NewsColored

It’s a starry, starry Sunday as Asia’s Nightingale lands on the screens of TFC viewers on July 5. Lani Misalucha, one of the Philippines’ most powerful voices, is set to chat and give away prizes to loyal subscribers on NewsColored #PPEPinoyPrideExtravaganza.

It was in 2019 when Asia’s Nightingale returned to the Philippines and as a Kapamilya having signed a new record deal with ABS-CBN Music. In an interview with Magandang Buhay, Misalucha remembers her sacrifices both as an OFW wife in the 90s and as an overseas Filipino herself when she chose to leave her showbiz life in 2004. Having to endure struggles from exchanging snail mails with her husband who was then based in Jeddah, KSA to performing five days a week in Las Vegas, Misalucha shares a feeling many Pinoys abroad know all too well – longing for the home and their families in the Philippines.

As a balik-Kapamilya, Asia’s Nightingale released her comeback single “I Can’t Give Anymore”. The newest hugot anthem is a modern ballad that many brokenhearted folks could relate to. It is also Misalucha’s foray to reaching a more global audience having written by Filipino, American, and Korean songwriters Edmund Perlas, Carlo Ferrer Santos, and Jun Lee. Amidst the pandemic, Misalucha was able to send messages of hope through her music. “What I did was I recorded something on Instagram. ‘Yung mga spiritual songs and I didn’t realize that it would help someone because I received comments saying that it helped them cope. It helps you when you’re going through something. Kumbaga, sinasabi nila that music is a universal language, and it speaks to your soul,” she shares to StarStudio Magazine.

This coming Sunday, Misalucha and NewsColored host KaladKaren will be quizzing 5 loyal TFC Online and IPTV subscribers for the “Basta Ka₱amilya, Cash-Ali ka! Watch & Win Promo!” for a chance to win Php 5,000 each. Catch the live stream on July 5th, 3 P.M. (Manila time) on TFC Asia, TFC Australia, and TFC New Zealand official Facebook pages.
