During this time where the world is battling the Covid-19 pandemic, ABS-CBN Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) through TFC continues to provide relevant and timely news through its flagship program TV Patrol and Teleradyo. While staying at home is also made fun with family or friends with the high-rating classic series, and iWant Originals movies and short series in the program line-up.
Meantime, TFC also went beyond entertainment as it assists the overseas Filipinos in the region whose jobs were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
TFC’s Lingkod Kabayan program partners with the Philippine Consulate Offices in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia through Consul General Edgar Badajos and Consul General Paul Raymund Cortes in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, and the OFW Council Leaders (OCL) for their Food Bank Drive. As of the writing of the article, hundreds of food packs were already distributed in Jeddah and Dubai. TFC hopes to reach more affected OFWs in the coming weeks.
“During these trying times, we consider it our responsibility to aid and serve the Filipinos through public service and consistently providing relevant information using our media reach. We have also made our platforms available for critical advisory dissemination from our government agencies like DOLE, DFA, and the Embassy Offices all over the territory,” said Joseph Arnie Garcia, ABS-CBN Global Managing Director for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
ABS-CBN Global COO Olivia de Jesus also adds, “Our mission of being of service to every Filipino shall never change wherever and whenever.”
