Urian, ibibida ang OPM ngayong taon - 41st Gawad Urian, Inilabas Na

Pormal nang inanunsyo ng Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino ang mga nominado sa 41st Gawad Urian na magaganap na sa Hunyo 14 (Huwebes) sa ABS-CBN Vertis Tent at eere ng live sa Cinema One, 7pm. 

Nangunguna ngayong taon ang pelikulang “Respeto” na may 12 nominasyon kasama ang Best Picture, Best Director para kay Treb Monteras II, at Best Actor para sa rapper-actor na si Abra. Sumusunod naman ang Best Picture nominees na “Balangiga: Howling Wilderness” na may 10 nominasyon at “Tu Pug Imatuy” na may siyam na nominasyon. Kabilang din sa Best Picture nominees ang “The Chanters” na may pitong nominasyon, at “Birdshot” at “Bhoy Intsik,” na parehong may tig-anim na nominasyon.

“ON THE JOB,” Mapapanood Na Sa Telebisyon sa Cinema One

Hatid ng numero unong cable channel ng bansa ang inaabangang TV premiere ng award-winning crime thriller na “On The Job,” na mapapanood sa Cinema One ngayong Linggo (Hunyo 29) na.

Ang “On The Job” na ginawa sa direksyon ni Erik Matti ay bahagi ng ika-20 anibersaryo ng Star Cinema. Kasama dito sina Piolo Pascual, Gerald Anderson, Joel Torre, Joey Marquez, Angel Aquino, Shaina Magdayao, Empress, Leo Martinez, Michael de Mesa, Vivian Velez, at Rayver Cruz.

Ang star-studded cast na ito ay nagbabahagi ng kwento ng apat na lalaking naghihirap at nagtatrabaho para lamang mabuhay at mabigyan ng suporta ang kanilang mga minamahal sa buhay. Ang dalawa sa kanila ay mga dating preso na ginawang hanapbuhay ang pagiging hired killer. Ang isa sa kanila ay si Mario (Joel Torre) na tinatawag din na “Tatang”. Nang siya’y mabigyan na ng parole, intensiyon niya na magkaroon na ng normal na buhay at tahakin na ang tuwid na daan. Si Daniel (Gerald Anderson) naman ay nakasama ni Tatang bilang kanyang apprentice, at napili siya bilang next-in-line na top hired killer. Sa kabilang grupo naman ay ibang mundo ng mga law enforcer at imbestigador na sina Joaquin (Joey Marquez) at Francis (Piolo Pascual), na naguguluhan dahil sa mga isyu ng moralidad sa kanilang trabaho. Sa pagitan ng dalawang grupong ito ay may malabong separasyon ng kabutihan at kasamaan, at doon maglalaro ang lahat, habang tinatakasan ang kamatayan.

Cinema One Announces Final Ten Films For Upcoming Cinema One Originals Festival

Now celebrating its 20th anniversary of constantly supporting the growth of the local film industry, Cinema One has finally announced its selection of ten films for the upcoming Cinema One Originals Festival.

On this special year, Cinema One has chosen to allocate a budget of P2-million for the production of these ten selected films, all carefully chosen out of numerous submissions upon its call for entries during the festival’s previous year.

The ten films chosen were those by directors Jay Abello, Nash Ang, Kanakan Balintagos, Sigrid Andrea Bernardo, Eduardo Dayao, Alec Figuracion, Antoinette Jadaone, Malay Javier, Paolo O’Hara, and Remton Siega Zuasola.

Cinema One Presents Philippine Television Premiere of "It Takes A Man And A Woman"

Cinema One, the country's number one cable channel, is bringing the highest grossing Filipino romance film to television for the first time, with its premiere airing of Cathy Garcia-Molina's "It Takes a Man and a Woman," airing on Sunday (February 2).

"It Takes a Man and a Woman," which stars the blockbuster love team of John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo, is the third installment in the "A Very Special Love" film series, wherein John Lloyd and Sarah reprise their roles as Miggy Montenegro and Laida Magtalas.
