“PARASITE” Star Song Kangho To Lead Upcoming Disney+ Period Drama “UNCLE SAMSIK”

During a period of upheaval and unrest in Korea, one man will operate in the shadows, manipulating the system and its key players for the advancement of the country in Uncle Samsik – an upcoming fictional drama set to debut in 2024, exclusively on Disney+.

Set in 1960s Korea, Uncle Samsik follows Kim San, an ambitious idealist who is driven to turn his country’s fortunes around. A recipient of an Albright Scholarship, San wants nothing more than to transform his country into an industrial nation and deliver an American-level of affluence to the people of Korea. Determined to become a success, San attracts the attentions of Pak Doochill (Uncle Samsik) a shady fixer who adapts to any situation and takes whatever steps necessary to help him accomplish his boss’s goals. Together, the pair will form an uneasy alliance, navigating the complexities of the established system, united by their shared goal of a prosperous future.

After years of spending his family’s fortune on whatever his heart desired, a mistaken arrest sees Jin Isoo get thrust into a new position at Gangha Police Station’s Violent Crimes Unit 1. Used to getting whatever he wants, Isoo initially butts heads with the department’s leader Lee Ganghyun, but as the weight of his new responsibility begins to set in, Isoo will rise to the occasion, using his unique skill set and vast wealth to bulldoze through departmental bottlenecks, helping the team solve cases and bring offenders to justice.

Starring Ahn Bohyun (Yumi’s Cells, Itaewon Class) as conglomerate heir and new police inspector Jin Isoo and Park Jihyun (Reborn Rich, Do You Like Brahms?) as team leader Lee Ganghyun, Flex X Cop is written by Kim Bada (My Name, Life Risking Romance).

According to event organizer GNN (formerly known as Gabi Na Naman Productions), fans can buy tickets at Ticketmelon for the following tiers: SVIP tickets at PHP 5,200, VIP tickets at PHP 3,200, and Gen Admission tickets at PHP 1,800.

Both SVIP and VIP packages have fan benefit inclusions with varying perks. 

A few weeks ago, SCRUBB officially confirmed that they’ll be headlining their debut show in Manila at the outdoor area of 123 Block in Mandaluyong City on February 10, 2024.
